The single and double strollers were sold in several color schemes, including black, kiwi, navy, orange, red and sandstone.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the hinge on the strollers’ folding mechanisms can injure consumers’ fingers when they press the release button while pulling on the release strap. The CPSC lists numerous reports of injuries, including partial finger amputation, lacerations and broken fingers.

The affected Britax strollers were sold at major retailers and juvenile specialty stores nationwide, as well as online at amazon.com, buybuybaby.com, diapers.com, toysrus.com and other web retailers, between May 2011 and June 2013 for between $250 and $450.

Consumers with these strollers should discontinue their use immediately. For additional information, please see the CPSC Britax stroller recall page.
