Karl Truman is a Sponsor for the 39th Annual National Veterans Wheelchair Games

The 39th Annual National Veterans Wheelchair Games will be held in Louisville, Kentucky from July 11- July 16, 2019. The competition is presented jointly by the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) and is proudly sponsored by attorney Karl Truman.

The event is the largest of its kind in the world, drawing over 600 veterans who compete in 19 different wheelchair sports, including softball, swimming, power lifting, archery, rugby, table tennis, trap shooting, track and field, wheelchair slalom racing, and basketball. All participants are rehabilitating from permanent and serious injuries, such as amputations, multiple sclerosis, neurological conditions, and spinal cord injuries.

Come show your support for these veterans as they demonstrate both their physical and mental strength in this competition. The National Veterans Wheelchair Games are held in a different city each year, so do not miss your chance to welcome and cheer on these amazing athletes.

The Games were organized to promote healthy activity, independence, and improved quality of life for veterans facing extreme rehabilitation and challenges after injury. Athletes train in their sports at their local PVA or VA Medical Centers to prepare for the event.
